Piggyville!

No Name cay, Abacos, Bahamas

Okay guys, this is your warning:

you may stop eating bacon after this post! (apologies in advance)

On the beautiful island of No name cay in abacos, Bahamas. There is a magical place filled with squeals and oinks. Thats right. there is a tribe of piggies that live here.
a man nicknamed the 'pig whisperer' Craig Russell has set these pigs up in their own paradise!

So as this island has no connection to water there is a massive silo of water and troughs built for these pigs that tourists are encouraged to bring food and water to.

You can hook up your hose to your yacht's water and pump water to the island or simply bring your food scraps and feed these hungry pigs!

these guys get pretty excited when we visit, and we always have a ton of scraps for them!

(Be careful though! they're actually wild pigs so don't try to cuddle these! or steal their adorable babies because mumma pig gets angry!)

This isn't to be confused with the swimming pigs of the Exhumas, these guys are less likely to swim, but are happy to cool off in the water (and can always be tempted in with a scrap of food)

They also like to poop in the water, so at your own risk!

the babies are adorable but always more wary of people than the mumma pigs!

I think james had a special connection with this pig in particular! This big mumma sat and looked lovingly at him for ages (well she may have been waiting for the food...)

Tuckered our after a huge lunch, these adorable piglets can find shade (lovingly put there by volunteers) and sleep off the afternoon

No matter what you do, make sure this is on your list to visit when you head to the caribbean!
