Okay so Bequia is an incredible little island filled with lots to see and do!
For one it's got some great hills covered in lush green wildlife, and due to the good measures of rain and sunshine, you get some beautiful flowers and fruit bearing trees too. But the beaches are gorgeous and the trails to them are pretty spectacular as well!
don't believe us?

This was taken whilst on Princess Margret's Trail, it leads to an amazing beach where she would reside most of her time whilst here on holiday. And the best part is that it that gives you some seclusion to the main seaside town, you can watch the yachts floating nearby and get some excellent rays for the best part of the day!

Don't enjoy the awesome hikes that lead you to new places
Enjoy the local hikes that will lead to some of the best views around the Caribbean. Wear some comfortable shoes though as some trails can get muddy with the rainfall (I learnt this the hard way...) and make sure you stay hydrated! the seaside winds may fool you into thinking it's cool but you're going to feel pretty hot when you get started!
Check out the hikes around Port Elizabeth, you'll get an amazing scene of all the boats and the sun setting!
Don't enjoy the local bars/restaurants that serve some incredible food

Yup you will have to endure the best food made with such love here, it's torturous knowing how I won't get the same quality ribs back home. These ribs we had at 'De Bistro' in town, were cooked to perfection, they fell off the bone before I even got my hands on them!
James adored the 'hot hot hot' sauce (we were warned by the waitress how hot it was. James however has a stomach of iron....)
All in all, it was absolutely lovely and can recommend the steak burgers at Mac's Pizzeria (I heard their Lobster is to die for too!)
If you're on a budget, go to the pizzeria in the middle of the seaside town, it's a little blue building with pretty flower murals all over it, you can pick up two slices and local beer for about 20EC, and only a few minutes from here is the Chameleon Cafe that hosts some great desserts and friendly waitstaff!

Don't enjoy the Wildlife, it's everywhere and will definitely be pretty friendly!
Don't be fooled by the adorable faces. You'll fall in love and will try to take them home with you!
We met some amazing animals around the island, a very sweet pup at Mac's Pizzeria, (very interested in food naturally. just wants to see you're having a good meal!)
There's a friendly parrot by Dive Bequia, a few minutes walk along the seafront on the coastal path. He'll let you give him a pet if you're patient! (tip: try feeding him a seed first!)
And of course, if you want the amazing opportunity to visit some wild animals, go to the Turtle Sanctuary, located 2km on the western side of Bequia, it's about 15 EC to get in, If you don't have a car a taxi driver in town will take you there for about 80EC, wait for you and take you back! (our driver was lovely, she told us about the sugar mills, plantations and local history on the way there)
